Certificate II in Integrated Technology
This qualification introduces you to the skills related to electrotechnology, engineering, telecommunications and manufacturing.
In the first year you will learn about programmable logic and micro-controllers, and build and program your own robot. This will develop your electrotechnology skills, such as soldering and testing micro-components, You will also build a small wireless LAN.
In the second year you will write and test code for real applications using industrial automation, and develop and apply a digital circuit using microelectronic chips.
This course can lead to an apprenticeship, traineeship or cadetship in fields such as electronics, wireless and security systems, technical support for computer and electronic equipment, energy generation, sustainability and communications.
Certificate II in Integrated Technology can count towards your VCE ATAR score, or be part of the VCAL Industry Specific Skills strand.
Year 1 (Units 1 & 2) is delivered at KIOSC over 2 days: Monday & Thursday 1.3 0pm – 4.30 pm
Year 2 (Units 3 & 4): Wednesday 9 am – 3 pm
